Is mocking/defending the game likely to alter a blind playthrough much?

I'm kinda more interested in watching this play out than DS1.

Oh lol you lose half hp when you die right? I don't remember where exactly, but somewhere near the beginning you can find a ring that'll boost your hollowed health to 75% which is pretty manageable.

I think the max is half though. Just double checked and the aforementioned ring let's you keep 80% and you get it at Heide's tower somewhere.

three extra heals: warp to majula go forward (so the cliff/bonfire is behind you) and find the well, hit the rock on it and you'll get one shard
Warp to the cardinal bonfire, go up stairs hit the door till it breaks and get nother shard
Outside in the open with the hollows and stuff on the right on platforms, you can drop down, explore around and go into the cave thingy (careful there's a boulder that'll kill you) and keep talking to the guy there, he gives you a key and that key opens a locked door in majula, in the basement is the third shard

The lose health mechanic. Bullshit enemy placement. Etc.

Did not finish.

Enjoyed and beat 1, 3, and BB

Try parrying him
Seriously, trivializes most of it. Also you can roll. Also use blunt
blunt damage is the most OP thing in the fucking game. Like buy the mace and just smack the shit outta everything. Or the rapier.

It opens up, I got to end game without even parrying or using the shield once so idk how you've been getting on with it >_>

also there's a flame sword that's pretty decent in that forest area iirc

What should I be going for?

You can powerstance any class of weapons, find something you like and use them. You need 1.5x the dex and str requirements of your weapons to actually powerstance them though

IIRC, blunt weapons like maces and clubs are pretty good in DS2

Oh yeah, buy the mace. You won't regret it

I actually have another word of advice then. Although there's been everything from SL1 runs to broken straight sword runs of this game, I'd argue that level matters more for a casual playthrough than any other game in the series

For the most part, you can just out level most of your problems. It's the most RPG of the series imo

My ADP was so low for pursuer that I couldn't estus without getting hit again so it was useless (I complained on CE and got educated). But then my health was half, so I couldn't take two hits. That was annoying af.

Guessing the name of the game is keeping your distance so you can dodge the rushdown attack and get 2 or 3 free hits.

You can summon Bellaclaire and she can facetank/dps one down
Just kill the first one on the platform then wait for both to drop and one to jump up then do as much damage as possible and drop down
then just run around waiting for one of them to do a jump attack and run to other and hit it
get a bunch of life gems to face tank

I was always more of a roll guy thanks to monster hunter. Old habits and all that.

BB doesn't even have shields so if you ever do get a PS4/PS5, it'll be easier to adjust. I might start Sekiro myself when you do. I have it here from black Friday.

You actually picked up one of the best weapons you have access to for dealing with ruin sentinels. The mace is great

Though I still highly recommend a big ass shield. Kind of trivializes the game tbh, especially once you get your hands on Havel's shield

No, there's a door you open. 2 dudes will auto-aggro you, which I can handle, but if you go a little further in, 3 will auto-aggro you and gank you to death. Enemies not damaging each other is kinda bullshit.

Ah, that's normal DS2 stuff. Gank squads are one of the biggest complaints. Enemy placements are different in the original vs. SotFS though.

Oh the door just past the bonfire?
Kill the first two and run forward down the stairs and just cheese them by running up the stairs so they only go one at a time, drop down, hit/kill one of them then repeat
