I know Golden Eel is probably going to chime in, but I saw some guys in my last topic talking about how they are lonely so here are some things I have learned, take it or leave it. I had a pretty good success rate. Over the course of about a year, slept with about 6 girls.

1. Be care free, say you are open to a relationship or just casual dating but that you would prefer them to be honest with you about what they want so that there is no confusion.
2. Don't say anything negative about yourself, women, or anything else. Act like you don't care.
3. Mention some of your interests briefly, like if you are into video games, don't go into detail about it, just say you like gaming. I usually would just write something like, "Some of my interests are: Gaming, horror movies, drinking beer, classic rock, and pretty much any type of music, I've been to a lot of concerts." And that's it, just keep it brief.
4. Don't say anything sexual, unless they say it to you first.
5. If you make good money, put that on there.
6. When you message them, just introduce yourself, ask a question about their profile, tell them they are gorgeous, and see what they say. You could even try saying you are new to the area, they like hearing that.
7. Once they talk to you, just answer their questions and just keep asking them questions. Don't talk about yourself unless they ask.

That's a good point I forgot to mention: When you ask them out, ask to go have coffee or something cheap. If you go to a restaurant, some will take advantage by trying to run the bill up.

this is a pretty good list although maybe not compliment too much on looks right away. You might score with an insecure girl that way but not a good looking girl that has every guy compliment her right away. For those girls stand out from the betas and tease the shit out of her, playfully of course. ;)

Points # 1,4, and 7 are absolutely solid and almost mandatory for success. Girls like what they (THINK) they can't have and are much more curious about guys they know little about. That's just basic psychology of course, even most animals are curious of the unknown.

Ask someone to take pics of you, or set your phone camera timer to replicate the look. And for God's sake SMILE. Don't do that half smirk thing.

And adding to this, "not caring" is basically showing you're just having fun with it. A lot of people view online dating as desperation or the "last shot of finding love", and that's how the pessimism comes out. It's meant to be a supplement to meeting people.

If you do have a goofy shitpost-y sense of humor, it's fine to use some of that in your profile. It's better than complaining or being critical of yourself or others.

Well I've had people debate with me on here and I'm like dude, this is what I did and it worked. I'm married now.

That requires too much work though. Its much easier to whine about how women dont want you while you sit at home all day in your undies on the computer and havent asked a woman out in decades.
