I guess like a month after I take it I can walk around with a mask and go party?

Probably not.

I wonder what percent of each state needs vaccinated before we decide it's fine to stop with the distancing and masks or if they'll be here all next year.

From everything I've read the vaccine is only supposed to prevent you from experiencing severe symptoms. One of the reasons they were able to fast track the vaccine is because they didn't test for its efficacy and preventing you from remaining a spreader. So a significant percent of the population needs to be vaccinated before we can just ditch the masks altogether.

A vaccine doesnt make you immune, it just gives your body the chance to make antibodies to make it less likely youll develop a serious infection if you come in contact with the virus

As far as how many people will need to get vaccinated, thats going to depend on when numbers start going down significantly. Otherwise its gonna just keep being the same cycle of places relaxing restrictions and then having to lock down again because all their ICUs have filled up
