He just handed it to me and said "Merry Christmas!" :D Never played it before, never played Crypt of the Necrodancer before. But, it's pretty neat so far. I'm absolutely terrible at it, I've died many times. But I did complete the first dungeon.

I know I'm getting a pizza stone and a spice rack as some of my gifts. I'm in a few group texts to let people know what I got others, and one where everyone shared lists... one text revealed it

I used to always search for presents before they were wrapped

I completed 2 more dungeons this morning. I'm getting better at this. In fact I don't even think I died this morning. I think I know where the fourth dungeon is, then I assume I go to the Castle, which is like the only place on the map I haven't gone yet. >_>

I remember when I got Crypt of the NecroDancer, I use to die all the time. But eventually, I got much better. I think this one in easier, but I still love it. It was different enough from the original game. Plus, it was the perfect mix of Zelda and CotND.

Have like 6 games to juggle right now lol

But I finally got back to this game, and I completed my first run this morning! 6 hours 2 minutes! like 30 deaths! I'm terrible! But, I'm excited to run it more and improve my time.

Was in the main game, or the regular dungeon? I'm guessing the main game, right?

Also, I know what you mean. I'm trying to play too many games at once right now...

Main game yeah. And after I beat it I went back around and did some exploring, and I unlocked 2 characters. Are those just for this run, or can I actually start as them?

Well, you unlocked them for that run, but I think you can use them for like the dungeon part of the game. Where you play basically the normal game, but the Zelda version. But I can't say for sure. If its who I'm thinking of. There is a character you get for beating the game, and they have a different story you can play through, as well...

I like the premise, but I'm not good at making good decisions quickly and staying on beat. I've got the original game and I haven't gotten very far, except with the character that doesn't have to move on beat.

It takes time to get use to. Even after beating the game many times, I still makes mistakes while staying on the beat. Moving back and forth can help. And knowing the enemy's movements. And you are talking about the bard. He's a good character to practice with because of not moving on the beat. And you can practice against all enemies using all the weapons, as well. I would say to not give up and try again. For me, I loved the game, though I stopped playing due to having a many other games. When I started to play again, it took just playing and dying over and over for days before I could tell I was getting better. Then I just finally won. Sometimes, a good set up and luck is all you need...
