No! They had different masks and weapons too! And one of them was a girl!

I heard they changed the green one from air to forest at some point because nobody got that it was air

I remember the little guys revealed that they had previously been Toa at some point that was pretty wild

I don't remember the first one happening. I was pretty invested in the story up until a point, so I was always aware he was air personally. I don't doubt that it's plausible though.

For the second one, I had stopped keeping up with the story by that point, but I do remember them releasing Toa versions of the little guys later into the Bionicle toyline. I had assumed that they became Toa later in the story, but I also remember that the story flashbacked for an extended arc, so that could easily have been a flashback too.

I was big into Bionicles. My first introduction to online forums was a Bionicle fansite when I was a young kid.
