Is the Senate allowed to filibuster during a challenge of the Electoral College? Tell me they cannot or I will not be able to sleep tonight. I am sweating over can the senate just challenge and then filibuster instead of calling a vote? If this happens, Biden will not be the next president until the vote.

I just read up and see that the vote is Jan 6. So I only worry about faithless electors.

Not until Jan 6 when the Senate and House of representatives meet. There are so many things #45 might do tonight that I will not fret until they happen.

Once the electors are certified there's nothing that can be done to stop them. Even if you murder them the certificates are actually lists that are larger than the electors needed so backups will go instead.

Congress has to certify the votes. Technically they can reject them.

It's the other way around. Both the House and the Senate have to vote to object to the electors otherwise they're automatically counted.

Since there's a 0% chance of the house voting to object, there's nothing the Senate can do about it.

If one gets majority and the other doesn't it goes to the House. 1 vote per state. Republicans would have that majority.

The 1 vote per state is for when no one gets a majority of the electoral college. Not the electoral vote itself.
