The best were the church levels. So much cool stuff to see over time as it changed.

Followed by the mansion for the vast amount of sanity effects and scary moments.

But the temple was just so bland and a chore to slog through.

Agreed. I remember some of the trap panels being harder to see in Lindsey's version, too. And the backtracking you had to do for the Mantorok rune, bleh. I mean it was totally worth it cause it breaks the rest of the game's difficulty curve, but still bleh.

Yeah. Those puzzles were weak af too. I remember thinking that you would need a guide to find this. Theres no way some random kid is going to know the steps to get mantorok

Now that I think about Lindsey's chapter again though, at least he had some fun weapons to play with. He may have been an archaeologist, but that man was ready for war. What an absolute mad lad.

the critical problem with eternal darkness was the game was far too piss easy. You have to try to take sanity damage because that's the only time cool shit happens. And the meter should've been hidden.
