By the time it's dirt cheap, the mess won't be there. Remember how bad No Man's Sky was at launch? People hated it. Now it just won an award for being one of the best persistent content games out there.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600x, an RTX 2060, 16GB DDR4 3600 CL16 RAM, and play it on my Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB NVMe. On medium to high settings, with DLSS on high performance, I never drop below 75FPS at 1440p.

I'm on a 5 year old GPU, Sapphire Nitro 390 8GB, with everything on medium settings, blur and grain turned off, and get 40-50 fps and it still looks great @1080p. Far better than what the consoles look like. I was getting 35-45 fps but the last update did something and boosted frames.

Yeah but there are also games like Anthem. Not every game gets a complete turnaround. I'm sure the game will be improved but honestly I doubt the PS4/Xbox One versions will be fixed that much and I doubt stuff like the half-baked sandbox elements will be improved.

This is how I feel about it. I do not have a ps5/ series x yet, so I will wait until I grab one to play this. Hopefully by then a lot of the bugs are fixed. I have faith they will fix the game over time. They were making huge updates to Witcher 2 years after it released.

Pretty inexcusable they launched the game like this though. Im not sure what they were thinking. I mean, its being ripped to shreds in a lot of places because of it, and I read that their stock price dropped 30% in a single day... so Im not really sure what they gained with this. It was in development for what? 7 or 8 years at this point? They should have just delayed in another 6 months to a year. It seems like all that goodwill from Witcher 3 was evaporated in a singe move. And unfortunately, for a lot of people, this will forever be their impression of this game. A broken mess. I know a lot of games that fixed a ton of issues long after release, but by that time very few people were interested. The time had passed.

In the future I think they should go with the "when its done" approach from the beginning. They make great games, but clearly suck at meeting deadlines.

Apparently Sony has lied and not handing out refunds. CDPR still is however and seems to be the only way now.

I bought nms at 10 used 2 years ago they still update it all the time cdpr is going to have to update this for years or just add mod support to consoles and let the fanbase do it like beth

Yep. It's fun with limited bugs on the PC. It seems obvious that they should have staggered the release of the game and release the console versions at a later time. Hopefully they have learned.
