I don't know which is more brutal. It's so much longer this time around and... a bit more confusing, there are so many names and people and players happening at once.

Just who the fuck is Reza?

I prefer the simpler plot of the first movie but yeah the second one still kicks ass

It was cool to see Mad Dog in this, lol. You may want to check out The Night Comes for Us if you're still "itching" for me Raid.

I mean, the movie just ends, and I'm like, wait what? What happens at the end there when the japanese gang comes, are they going to fight him too? When he says "I'm done" does that mean he's done fighting?

I thought we were gonna get a scene where he finally, finally reunites with his wife and kid, I feel really sad being denied seeing that and a happy ending for the dude.

Raid 2 is better overall but Raid 1 had a much more badass final fight scene. That maddog fight in the basement is legendary.

I also preferred the simplicity of the first movie.

And I thought the cop who forced him to go undercover in the first place was actually the bad guy. I mean, he's certainly not a good guy... what was the deal with that. It was like infernal affairs/the departed but I didn't trust him at all, even less than mark wahlberg and martin sheen.

Raid 1 had a better setting, and storyline. Could of made a great drama/thriller, even if they've taken out the fights. Wish there's a third one, but it seems the director moved on to other projects. Hopefully he'll return to it.

That really threw me. They should have put up a caption, warning us that it's the same actor but a different character. I actually had to pause the film so I could go back and watch the first because I was like "wait, didn't he die in the first movie, wtf how is he walking out and about? And he has a kid? I am so flabbergasted"

I'll also check out that night comes movie if it's good. I like martial arts movies, not necessarily gory movies. The Raid 1 and 2 had me really squeamish at times, some scenes were too much, yet I couldn't look away.
