Shulk's smashes work in mysterious ways. Their hitboxes are surprisingly jank for having such a big sword.

Sephiroth has tons of potential and so many options for different situations. It makes him absurdly fun to play.

Laggy as fuck if you miss ANYTHING though so you can't just spam anything.

But see it's fair because Octoslash has so many outrageous options. You can't just throw it out whenever and be braindead with it, but it's viable in such a great number of situations. Caught my friend on the ledge with it last night to end a match and he's yelling "THAT HITS BELOW LEDGE TOO?!"

Like I honestly think Sephiroth is one of the most fairly balanced characters they've added in a long time. We'll see what he's like in the hands of tournament pros, but there are only a few matchups where I feel the other person is super outmatched (poor Incineroar). And thus far I think only a really good Mario player has made me feel like I didn't stand a chance.

Sephiroth outzones Byleth and has better options, and Byleth is a high tier

I think people in general find it difficult to work with characters unless they have Fox frame data and speed but the people who gel with zoners can REALLY make them work

As someone who plays heavily zoning anyway (Lucas, WFT, Simon, Zelda, Robin) I'm just not too enthused, but I've had a long distaste for 7 due to its fanbase for the better part of two decades.
