they have a high risk of infection so they have to put a cement spacer with anitbiotics that will have to stay in for 6 months after surgery. after that he will have to get a new replacement hip.

3 days of recovery at the hospital then IV antibiotics from home.

i guess its good my sis is working from home anyway.
