I remember when everybody thought Doom 2016 was going to be a complete disaster, especially after the multiplayer beta. Even Bethesda thought it was going to be a disaster, which is why they embargoed the game until after launch.

I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm not the biggest fan of Bethesda's games. But only like 2 of their games were MMOs and one of them came out before Fallout 4 and Doom 2016.

A reviewer said he beat the whole game including some side stuff and no rushing to the end in 21 hours. Honestly the game better have actually stimulating non-main shit in massive droves or it honestly sounds like a flop. I know some ppl are like shorter games are better, but let's face it... you really gonna remember a 20 hr game a year later? I doubt it

There is nothing wrong with short campaigns if they are really good. Titanfall 2 has a really short campaign and it still talked about and praised years later.

Sure, but I think Titanfall 2 having a multi is what keeps people talking about it, but I can't imagine it'll stick in people's heads if the campaign was all there was to it. But obviously conversely if Cyberpunk has a pretty good multi, then it would absolve a short campaign in a lot of people's heads I guess

Typically a large part of WRPGs is replayability. Having a 21 hour campaign isn't much of an issue if you can have say 3 or 4 completely different playthroughs.

I don't have that much interest in the game personally, but if I had to guess how it will tun out, each, it will be good or atleast decent, but probably not the amazing, life-changing thing it is made out to be. It will probably fall into certain trappings of other big openworld games.

I already planned to hold off before I spend on it. I think before I read too deep, I think I was expecting Witcher 3 style stuff with at least story and how side quests play out. I WOULD like a lengthy game but 21 hours isn't enough for me to shell out money, even if side stuff bring it up to 40 hours.

Maybe I sound spoiled.

CDPR made one good game and that was it.

Pretty good review. Touches on the LGBTQ+ stuff as unbiased as possible from the perspective of a trans reviewer too, which are all pretty interesting.
