Obviously animals that aren't endangered or owned by other humans

Well, CE? Are you okay with people going out and murdering an animal, that has a life, for sport?

If you're hunting to eat the animal, use its fur or other parts, and are ending the animals life with as little pain as possible then that's fine.

If you're hunting because you just like killing things fuck you.

Voted third option, hunting holds zero appeal to me personally, but I don't care if others want to do it. I'm also okay with laws regulating when/where you can hunt for conservationist reasons, or to protect endangered species.

What if you're hunting because you like killing stuff but also use the animal's meat/fur/parts?

If it's legal and regulated, sure. Not my cup of tea, I don't even like killing insects.

Some hunting is apart of population control. But like safari hunting rubs me the wrong way.

Hunting for sustenance (as in, starving to death without it) and public safety are probably the only times I'll say I'm okay with hunting. I do so with great hesitance because attempts to meet that criteria get convoluted quite quickly, and there are sketchy special interest groups who are okay with exploiting that.

I have zero issues with it as long as you eat the animal. At least the animal gets to live a fulfilling life in its natural habitat. It is factory farming that I am a little more iffy with. It is a necessary evil , I suppose, but it certainly strikes me as animal cruelty and I would rather meat be more ethically produced even if it costs more.

Sport aka Game = for fun / trophies.

If you're going to eat it, that's just Hunting.

I think it's fine for the most part. The issues are more complicated adn the gun law advocates are just as bad. Murder is murder period and it goes in a lot of directions. Being able to own a gun is a human right. It's become more a class issue than anything. People with billions slaughter animals on the regular and people eat it up. Why should jerks be able to own guns but no one else can protect themselves from the powers that be? Or be able to do these things. I think there is corruption out there.

Ah, I am not too much of a fan of it then. It seems pretty disrespectful just to kill an animal and not eat it. If it was dangerous to humans like a bear that killed people before that would be one thing, but just shooting a deer so you can mount it on your wall, no way.

IMO as long as the animal is past sexual maturity I don't really see an issue with it. Especially in the case of predators it's less competition for the younger virile/fertile generation.

Don't kill it if you aren't gonna eat it. That's fucking lame. Anyone who eats meat has no business ever knocking ethical hunting though. Its the most moral and ethical way to get meat imo. And I really can't stand killing snything beyond mosquitoes and flies.

I think it's more about protecting endangered animals and species in general. There needs to be laws as far as where you can hunt and there are. If people actually followed them. Unfortunately there is corruption out there and people with lots of money who manipulate things. If peopel were hunting to eat and fishing to eat like the old days that would be one thing. you have corporations and oil companies destroying oceans and huge fishing vessels scraping the ocean with huge nets making billions. And people support that.

I would love to move away from factory farming and replace it with commercial hunting expeditions. Where you can hunt and get the meat butchered right then and there or pay for someone else's leftovers.

It would have to be very strictly regulated but it would end up better for both the environment and on everyone's conscience

The issue is it's these same billionaires who are scraping oceans with huge nets that are then going on hunting trips with politicians like Ted Cruz and "hunting for sport". While they are jerking him off with $$$$. Actual psychopaths. Then you have tree huggers on the other side of the spectrum eating nothing but plants and hugging trees.

Not if you are going to eat what you kill. If it's for food fine, but killing shit just for a picture is lame as hell. At least with fishing you can throw what you catch back if you don't plan on eating it.

Hmm, I just remember a coworker back at pizza hut who wanted to go up to Alaska(i think) to hunt some giant species of bear that lives up there. The way he talked about it, he wanted to do it for the thrill of it, wonder what he planned to do with the body.

Somebody told me once that he was out hunting and shot a bear that was charging them, point blank with a .50 cal desert eagle and because of the size of bears, even though the bear was 'dead', the muscles were still causing the body to function and charge at them.

I have no issue with it.

Do it for food or for trophies or fun.

I used to do it yearly and would give out the meat around Xmas time, then mount the heads or dip the skulls and add them to my collection. But the last few years, i have been working too much to find the time.

I love it.

Crack open a tall bud light, in a can no less, and just completely end a creatures life. Then take a picture with it, fully capturing my continued existance in a valiant pose over its lifelessness. The alpha of this species has had its bonds to this frail mortal life severed. Maybe even decapitate it and mount its head above my fireplace, a trophy of my conquest. Usually leave the body and the beer can where it died though. Would be meaningless to try and do anything with the meat when McDonalds sells good chicken for such a great price.

I don't have an issue with it legally, but I do think it's pathetic to act like a big man because you shot an unknowing animal with a technologically advanced high power piece of machinery. Also in general it's trashy behavior to act like killing living beings is a sport you are mastering.

Also hunters get away with too many accidental killings of humans.
