Texas Waitress, Emily Bauer who said she was stiffed a massive $2000 tip from a gift from a customer by her boss has now been given the money after he used his OWN FUNDS to pay her as it now appears the stunt by that customer was a PRANK!!

She was workign at Red Hook Seafood and Bar in San Antonio when an unidentified male customer left an enormous gratuity for her but the mother of 2 failed to get it at the end of her shift and her bosses said they could not process amounts larger than $500

She went to the media right after in a complaint that led a barrage of negative publicity to the already struggling restaurant

John Cheng said the customer's card declined the amount of $2000 and therefor unable to pass the gratuity to her. She said they should just charge the card 4 times of 500 each but he said that would be fraud.

However, he attempted to resolve the issue to stop the bleeding and agreed to pay her OUT OF POCKET. He said "It's christmas eve and everybody is struggling. I'm ready to give it to her as a christmas gift"

Emily apologized for the negative attention she brought to the business and said it was a misunderstanding. She said "Maybe the way it's being epxlained now isn't the way it was explained ot me at the time"..

She was overwhelmed by the 2000 given by her boss using his own money and said "The fact that the owner of my job is willing to give it to me, even thougt it wasn't his mess up, i can't thank him enough for that" She was overwhelmed when she initially thought she got 2000 of which she was gonna SPLURGE on christmas presents for her kids

Management says they have been inundated with abuse after it looked like they stiffed Bauer as an employee told dailymail that they had zero customers since as they had to take to facebook to prove that the 2000 never went through

They tried multiple attempts through Visa and it was declined

The gentleman actually CALLED and asked if Emily got the tip but when they explained his card wouldn't go through, they asked if he would come in with the money and cheque to give to her personally but they quickly HUNG UP as it appears now he may have played a PRANK on her by writing the giant tip amount on his bill

She doesn't need to quit, but she should use this as a learning experience to not try to destroy someone who you felt did you wrong.
