Your young adult daughter is an almost Rick Sanchez without the depression level super genius who can solve problems and break our understanding of science like you can make a cup of tea.

She found cures for cancer, STDs and other diseases then refused to share them except one weekend she cured everyone in the world called Jeffery who was sick for a laugh.

She hacked the Pentagon, Kremlin, Chinese military HQ and others to make "Karma Chameleon " play loudly everytime they tired to do something electronic for a week. Well no could ever prove it was her since she left no trace but who else could have done it?

The issue is possibly due to her intellect she doesn't value human life or culture like normal people do and looks down on others uncaringly. She sees no reason or incentive to help mankind. She could almost certainly save millions if not billions of lives and advance humanity by centuries, but instead she sits around all day doing fuck all but amusing herself like a modern day Greek God.

Pretty much every government on Earth has tried some level of bribery, threats, attempted kidnapping to coerce her into working for them. But they've all been about as successful as an overweight cat in the dog pound as she doesn't value money and isn't intimidated by them in the slightest.

The only person she will even give the time of day too is her girlfriend Kasumi because she thinks it's cute when she doesn't know things and enjoys berating/mocking her for being an idiot (She isn't but compared to your daughter everyone is)

Out of desperation you have been contacted by your nation's top government officials as a hail Mary to go to your daughter and convince her to work for them or at least help humanity by sharing some of her discoveries and knowledge.

Because supervillainly by default requires caring about humanity and culture.

Someone who doesn't care about other humans and doesn't see any value in anything they are prepared to offer them has no incentive to be a villain, they would just be wasting their time.

Imagine if someone tried to make you watch 5 Day International Cricket matches back to back every day for years and insisted that you needed to do it.

You'd refuse because you'd be bored and not care. It's the same prinicpal. Taking over the world or killing people is like watching 70 back to back 5 Day International Cricket matches to her. She has no interest.

My kids aren't growing up to be slackers or bullies, so my reaction would be to discipline them for that.

I tell the government that it's their job to fix the problems they've created. And trying to force someone to do something they don't want to do has historically never worked out well. Just ask the nation of Tinoburmistan what happens when you try to coerce my daughter.
