YHVH's design in the Shin Megami Tensei series?

He's a diabolical tyrant who wants to get rid of free will and have everyone mindlessly worship him for all eternity. In the games that he actually appear in, he's the final boss. Him being as much a pawn of YHVH as Merkabeh is lame as hell. The very first game had a much better interpretation: that Lucifer is the part of YHVH that YHVH rejects. It even explains why both are usually so extreme. Really, the only SMT game I can think of where God isnt atotalitarian turbodick is Devil Survivor(the first one), and even then... Some put it off better than others, but it's a pretty solid series. Sucks to be Cain and Abel in this instance, of course. And the Kingdom of God as depicted on the 8th day gives humans ultimate agency in upholding YHVH's will, a far sight better than the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, for instance.
