The comment about promoting further division was obviously made in bad faith, but honestly, what can be done to promote unity when one side is blindly following lies and are seemingly okay with democracy being thrown out the window so that a 74-year-old billionaire can pretend that he didn't lose? The onus is on Republicans to take back their party from Trump and try (if they even want to) to restore some semblance of dignity and sanity.

Trump's tweet uses the word "prove" and is factually incorrect. Even if he used the word "say" it would still be factually incorrect. States are in charge of administering and certifying elections, not candidates.

States conduct and certify their own elections and select their own electors. The candidate is not a part of the verification process.

most states are not close, also the pop vote is a wide gap.

Neither Biden nor his team have access to any proof of legitimacy beyond what has already been certified. Again it is constitutionally the states' duty to conduct elections, not the candidates'. The idea that it's a candidate's responsibility to offer proof at all, let alone the entire popular vote, is absolutely ridiculous.

Do you think that the entire counting process was just done with absolutely no thought or attention? Because I'm pretty sure that making sure things are legit is an inherent part of the process that people try to ensure is done correctly.
