Flew around for about six hours doing some missions, bought a second ship, visited a few bases. The world feels extremely static. There's this odd part of the game where all the bases and npcs are... chatbot-y? It seems like a pool of strings compile their dialog. It's odd. No in-game tracking for market prices, faction wars (cause there are none) or player driven contracts/events (there are none). You can basically just PvE, Mine and PvP. I haven't driven around on a rock yet but from what I've seen and read, that's all there is to those. Driving.

pretty sure you need the dlc expansion to make it decent
