I literally went to watch this video about a guy eating a bunch of dumplings, dude spent intro shilling for grubhub, then a minute or more each of shilling for grubhub later on. The moment that 3rd time came out I exited out asap.

Its okay in some cases. I watch Dead Meats Kill Count videos, and oftentimes he cant make money from video views because they contain gore, so he has to do an in-video advertisement for his sponsor.

This is a good standard to set the more I think about it. Like, tutorials on youtube could be an amazing educational tool, and they are, except often the creator will have an intro that is way too long. It's just ridiculous. We are clicking what is supposed to be instant content, the content should start instantly.

"so smash that motha fuck subscribe button before I come through and smash your entire family. I have the money to do it"

The threats were getting pretty ridiculous. Glad we can skip them

I think most of us are so used to tapping our screen 2-3 times on every Youtube video that they figured they can make it more convenient for us.

Youtube caused this itself, with the ten-minute de facto minimum.
