Held it together better than pretty much anyone else at the funeral. I hope people don't think I'm some heartless fuck because I wasn't sobbing. I choked back tears a couple of times.
My sister, my niece, and I all sang one of the hymns together at the funeral which was pretty rad. Mom would've loved that. That's definitely the hardest part but it's important to do it. Still haven't cleaned everything out myself so it depends how much stuff you've gotta go through.
Take breaks as needed. Also you'll need to figure out who has legal authority of things in her name like bank accounts. Well the thing is, there's an insurance policy we need to get into and have no idea where the paperwork for it is, so hoping that we can figure that out by getting into her bank accounts.
