Damn, it must suck to not have good pizza places near you. I've eaten pizza across the country and generally local places are far better than frozen. Though, most frozen is better than the bigger pizza chains. And some of the really good frozen brands can rival some of the mid-tier local places (Screamin' Sicilian was the first that came to mind).

Not true, but I will say those French bread pizza things cooked in the oven is in my top 3 frozen food items.

Idk about that. Frozen is ok depending on brand and cooking process, though. I like the chains the best. For me, frozen is about the same as home cooked(though I like frozen a little better in most cases). And local is between chain (which I like), and the other two (which I like less, but still like because it's pizza)...

where i live now, the best pizza is like, imagine a pizza, but with low battery.

frozen Tree Tavern pizzas though? damned good for frozen pizzas, and you can throw whatever toppings you want on them and they come out of your oven pretty great.

Not even close. Pizzeria pizza is in a league of its own.

A handful of frozen pizzas I've tried have been edible, but the rest I've had to trash as I couldn't finish them as they were far too revolting to eat as human food and I have no dogs or pigs to feed it to.

There's not really much on the playing field for frozen artisanal craft pizza. So theres definitely a product gap if someone wants to take advantage of it.

always kind of annoyed me how people compare local to other things when local could be literally anything. plenty of local places suck

I like Takeaway pizza more. Nothing wrong with a frozen pizza though and they generally cost less.

I had some of those little $1 grocery store frozen pizzas recently, and while the taste wasn't anything great, it took me back to the time in my childhood when we used to have them. Nice little comfort food.

My local pizza place has better pizza than frozen.

Although I do love me some Digiornos from time to time, especially when its nice and crispy.

Id take frozen over Dominos but thats about it. It isnt terrible though.

Havent tried the two small pizza places in town, but with frozen pizzas I go with Red Baron and Tombstone. Neither of those beat Papa Murphys though.

Pizza Deserts can be a problem in some areas of the United States. I've occasionally lived places where chain pizza was as good as it gets, as the local places where all really bland.
