It might be hard to make a living like that in a lot of the US. But if you can swing it, go for it.

What kind of temp job? If they're giving you dishwashing jobs, not really.

I was self-employed before the pandemic and that's basically what I did. I would just take short jobs here and there with no real obligation to anyone past completion, though I had a few clients who gave me consistent work.
Full-time work just isn't for me. Literally nothing about it appeals to me but the flexibility and freedom of taking what jobs I want from who I want when I want is so goddamned perfect. Only bad thing is that the pandemic threw a huge wrench in that, but it's not like I'm the only one feeling that particular pinch. --- Spongebob is not a contraceptive. ... Copied to Clipboard!
