Is it worth spending the cash to have something like a 2tb SSD as your main drive? Last time I build a rig I was priced out of the SSD game.
Processor wise is the I9 10900 good enough or is it worth going up to the 10850k or the 10900K?

SSDs are much better than HDDs. NVMEs (M.2, little rectangles) are even better, but also pricier

It's not worth getting internal HDDs anymore

Anything 10600k or higher is perfectly fine for games for 5+ years

Yeah, I should have been a bit more specific, I see a ton of builds that do a 500 gig M2 SSD and then a larger standard HDD. Is it worth it to just say fuck it and get a 2 TB SSD instead of a 500 Gig one and a 2 TB HDD?

Depends if the time you save on games etc loading is worth it to you

Since you're buying high end stuff, I'm guessing, there's no reason not to spend on the 2TB SSD too. If you want to go all out, get both the 500GB one for your OS and the 2TB one for your other stuff

My philosophy has always been to go higher end on the shit that you can't really replace without essentially doing a rebuild. MOBO, Processor, HDD/SSD. I can always get a new video card or more RAM.
