I use AlternateTTV and it blocks all the ads for me. Only downside is that it delays the stream an extra 2-3 seconds so chat doesn't always line up.

I've never used Twitch in my life, so it was a legit question. With that said, I don't know what you don't understand about something being a free service not needing to make money to continue being a free service, respectfully.
