IIRC Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow aren't brothers but rivals from the same ninja clan.

The ultra short version is that they were in the same unit in 'Nam, and after the war Snake Eyes went to Japan and got training from Storm Shadow's family.

Disputed. The original rivals were Storm Shadow and Spirit. Watch the 2nd miniseries. Storm Shadow spends the miniseries fighting Spirit. I dont think he even interacts with Snake Eyes (who wasnt even originally a ninja.)
