Whatever science gets disproven was an opinion. Aristotle once used science to declare men have more teeth than women.

As with most two things, parallels and comparisons can be drawn between them. Science is ever changing and not set in stone. In that sense, it is comparable to an opinion.

It's an unrealistic stretch to insinuate that the two are completely interchangeable, tho.

This makes no sense. Science isn't disproven, ideas are disproven via science. Opinions are a subjective value, not something to be proven or disproven.

Tbh there is honestly a lot to break down on this idea. But since it's probably just addressing people that say "I dismiss research I don't understand for intuitions I pull out of my ass," there's no real reason to bring it up here.

oh facts I understand theres a whole discourse to be had here but denying science on the basis on not knowing how to parse out misinformation is different than discussing the idea behind the scientific method

Science is never disproved. It is the mechanism by which we objectively prove or disprove the world around us.

From the observers point of view, you are equal distance from the furthest observable point in all directs. In this way (that is to say, the observers viewpoint), the observer is at the center.

Similarly to standing on a sphere. We all know that the surface of a sphere doesn't have a center. However, shrink down and stand on the sphere and from your viewpoint you are equal distance from the furthest points of the surface area, no matter where you stand.

There is no literal center of the surface area. That was never my intended argument.
