Monster Hunter World.

It had a good run, and hopefully it acts as the template for how Capcom supports all future MH titles.

I feel like it'll live or die by that new grappling hook bug mechanic. Not so much for area traversal, but for how it can be used in combat. It has the potential to really mix up combat strategies now that even slow weapons have some limited means of "dashing" around monsters.

I think the only time I ever came close to timing out on the standard hunt in MHW was against Kirin with an SnS.

Idk why you're talking about it as if the servers are shutting down lol. People are still playing 4U almost a decade later, and GU's online is still super active. Hell, you can still find a couple of people still kicking around in 3U's lobbies

Yeah, when TC says its ending does that just mean no new content will be released anymore?

The most annoying thing about the time limits is how you only get 60 seconds to loot

I had 60 mins and finished the boss in 50. I should be allowed the remaining 10 mins to loot.

Was about to ask why people think they are shutting down the server when they are just releasing the last update.

Idk if you've bothered to look at any gameplay from Rise, or listen to dev interviews, but it looks like a lot of changes from World are going to carry over, while bringing back better systems from older games like event quests being permanent and going back to 4 man lobbies, as well as separating online from single player again.

I couldn't be happier, tbh

From what I've seen of Rise it looks like a fairly decent middle ground between World and non-shit MH games.

Though the fact that you can still restock at camp annoys me as a lot of World's battle mechanics were based on the infinite availability of healing items without having to put in the work to gather those extra items if you run out on quest.

Fatalis was the last major update. They may still do smaller updates with minor content, such as the fright fest going on now with Halloween themed shit you can get from events
