the artstyle is way too detailed for it to be animated on a realistic budget. Same reason why Steel Ball Run will never be an anime. Even if the horses are done in CGI it will still be too costly to animate it well.

I'd prefer not getting a Yotsuba anime. I don't think an anime could handle it very well. Azumanga Daioh wasn't translated very well to anime, either.
