That's just a bunch of nonsense.

A respected brand isn't something that's easy to build. Most CEOs aren't willing to throw that away to "gut quality for short term profits" and the ones who do are going to earn a reputation pretty damn fast. Especially when you're talking about public companies.

Especially when you're talking about public companies.

catch-22

on one hand private companies are not beholden to the same pr pressures of public companies;

on the other hand public companies tend to be larger, and thus have more potential monetary leverage for lobbying and pr activities

Actually I'd like to add another really big problem with capitalism, that was eloquently put earlier ITT:
You have the choice between working and dying

You seriously think the board of a successful company is going to be making eddie lambert their ceo? Just because you can find one example of corporate looting by a hedge fund shitbag doesn't mean that's how business is generally done.

Public companies are beholden to their shareholders. You run a solid company into the dirt there's a very low chance you're ever gonna get the smell of shit off your shoe any time soon

Also capitalism! Famously, capitalists don't have to work because workers do it for them.

Yes, but also the workers being a NEET's mom and dad show that even a medium level workers can have enough excess.

That is not possible under socialism.

What system allows you to not work such that this is a fault of capitalism?

Who cares? Your topic is about the problems of capitalism. I'm listing what I think are big problems of capitalism. One such big problem was formulated earlier ITT:

You have the choice to work, or to die. But of course that's a very general statement. More specifically, the "choice" in capitalism is to work so someone else (capitalists) doesn't have to, or to die.

But that isn't a problem with capitalsim, it is a problem with life itself that capitalism actually helps to solve for some who are not even royal or w/e.

I think it's a problem with capitalism specifically because the whole point of capitalism is that the owners of the means of production (capitalists) make money off of the goods/services that the workers produce. That is what is called profit.

Essentially: If I have enough money, I can just buy shares in companies, and then workers will work and I will benefit without doing any work at all. If I don't have that money, I have no choice but to work and produce value for someone else, that I don't get to keep. Or else I will starve and die. I think that's one of the central problems of capitalism.
