Control won a whole bunch of GOTY awards and I don't have the impression it sold that well. Ironically one of the reasons they probably went with this model is that the Tomb Raider reboot sequels weren't big hits. In saying that a single player focused Avengers game with great reviews would have probably sold better than this and been less of an investment. So yeah still dumb. Established IP's do tend to still sell well as single player games. It's funny because all of the biggest multiplayer games lately have either been cheap or free to play. It's solely because Sony wanted some sort of exclusive DLC and probably chose Spider-man to give the perception that he's a Playstation character. There was no issue putting him in Ultimate Alliance 3 either. The only way this isn't the case is if Sony and Disney somehow changed how his rights work for video games when they worked out their new MCU deal. Which I doubt honestly. Better hope it isn't the case or this bullshit will be an issue for every upcoming Marvel game. jcmason 10/13/20 9:27:14 AM #89:	Ive played about 60hrs of it, and Ive enjoyed that time. Got all 6 characters to the level cap (though I dont have any of them close to the gear score cap.) I like the variations in how each character plays. They do need to fix the matchmaking (Quickplay almost never worked, even early on when the player base was big.) The new content coming up sounds like it would go a good ways towards adding the variety and challenge people want for endgame content, so that would be nice to get some new mission types. I do like that all the playable characters they will be adding will be free, so theres no nickel and diming there, but I think that the first two added characters being Hawkeye and Hawkeye might be a mistake. Would have been nice to see some more variety there. Overall, its a really solid foundation and could be awesome if they put in the work.
