Walter. At the end of the day, he was just a guy who loved science. He was pretty much the only character in the series who was truly innocent and uncorrupted.

The dealers worked for Gus yeah. And they had Andrea's brother kill Combo
Gus ordered them to stop using kids but he never told them to kill the kid, but they did anyway.

that was the kid's brother whom Walt poisoned.. somehow

I believe the dealers killed the kid because they needed to make sure he didn't talk after they cut him loose and also as a fuck you to Jesse. I'm not sure whether Gus gave the go ahead but maybe that isn't the point since he was ok with it.

Gus and the issue of killing kids has come up a view times and this is how I kinda see it:

From what I remember, they did think Gus ordered the kid's death but his immediate response is one of disgust.
The only time Gus has EVER been shown to threatening a child was when he was trying to put Walt in his place and threatened Holly. But I still think he was just trying his hardest to tame this wild animal he truly underestimated.

More than that, killing a child, especially a Latino child from a poor background, goes against his whole starting a free healthcare system/education system for those Mexican children in memory of his partner. Even more than that, killing a kid is messy business. I think the dealers were idiots who killed Andrea's brother (Thomas?) to spite Jesse and protect themselves.'

Mike for sure. Gets killed for no reason other than Walt's ego, and the money he saved up for his granddaughter just ends up getting taken by the feds. He also had to abandon his granddaughter at the playground and didnt even get to say goodbye.

Mike is a piece of shit. He's just as bad as Fring, just less successful.

Obviously Drew Sharp, an innocent kid at the wrong place at the wrong time. Mike, Walter and Gus were in a dangerous business so they knew the consequences.

Voted Drew, but thinking about it more, he just showed up and died. Andrea's death was sadder, since we actually got to know who she was. She was a recovering addict who wanted the best for herself and her son. Jane's death was also sad, but Andrea was a better person.

Walt, Gus and Mike were all terrible people. Gale didn't seem that bad, but he was still a criminal. The passengers who died were just random nobodies in the story. Hank was a cop who is expected to put his life on the line.

An important factor being Andrea had about a tenth of the screen time compared to Hank/Mike. Otherwise Drew Sharp should be running away with it based off of perceived goodness.

Hank's abuse largely arose from dealing with PTSD and Marie being the most irritating person alive. Doesn't excuse it at all, but to act like that severs any positive connection the viewer has with him is ridiculous.

I don't think he actually ever did kill a kid. He was absolutely ruthless when he decided to be but that would have been a risk he wouldn't want to take. I think that's part of Walt's grand manipulation. He constantly made himself out to be the victim and convinced Jesse that Gus poisoned Brock, which is probably Walt's biggest mistake in the end because Jesse went scorched earth mode after finding out about that.

Gus did seem pretty mad when he found out that those 2 dealers were using a kid. That stern "no kids" comment from him seemed like something from his heart rather than part of a deal to calm Jesse. Cuz he didn't give a fuck what Jesse thought.

Gale was a nice guy for sure but at the end of the day, still doing criminal activity. Him getting killed is a risk of being in the game.

Andrea was simply someone minding her own business and trying to improve her life. The only reason she died is because Jesse cared about her too much.

Had to go with Hank.

He was trying to do the right thing by catching the great Heisenberg but his greed to get Walter at any cost made him lose his life.

Even though Walter was fighting with him, he still didn't want to see his brother-in-law get murdered in cold blood.

Not only that but Walter saved special coordinates for his treasure. It was his dream to have a lot of money, but in the end those coordinates ended up being the grave site of Hank.

That makes his death less sad and more his fault. Not that it wasn't sad at all, but he thought he was hot shit and paid the price for it. And that legitimate POS Mike has the second highest votes here?

I get that they were big characters on the show, but that doesn't automatically make their deaths sadder. More significant and memorable, sure, but not sadder. They'd have to also be legitimately decent people, and these weren't decent guys lol
