If i were to factory reset my laptop would i just need to download Chrome and log into my google account to get my passwords and bookmarks or do i manually have to save them somewhere then open that when i redownload chrome?

I'm pretty sure if you were logged in when you entered/saved them then all you have to do is log in once it's reset to get them back. You can test by logging in on a different computer or phone (and then log out if it's someone else's computer).

i found a way to export them just in case so i have that file. Thanks for the reply, though.

Pretty sure you can just export bookmarks and passwords. So you'd just move them to a flashdrive or something and then import when you get your computer set up.
Also, if you're using chrome to save passwords, it does it in plain text, just FYI. Might want to look into a password manager. --- Power concedes nothing without a demand. ... Copied to Clipboard!
