Short of an overwhelming surprise attack that would cripple key Chinese infrastructure and supply lines, an attack on China would be so Ill advised that nobody would authorize it.

The only other way to attack China would be to have Pakistan, India, and Russia all allied and on the same page with the US and launching simultaneous attacks across the various regions of China.

You're far more likely to see China and India break out into war, or Turkey and Russia, than the US and China, especially right now.
