It was a sequel to the Brenden Frasier series? Like, Brendan appears as a ghost in a small cameo role and tells his great-grandson Tom Cruise not to go searching for the mummy?
It seems like expanding upon a film series which already has a trilogy and a spinoff (with a sequel of its own) would've been a better launching pad for a hypothetical shared universe than a reboot. It also would've allowed them to state with honesty that Tom Cruise, Brendan Frasier, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had so far been a part of the Dark Universe franchise. --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ...
