Depends on who the next President is. Trump's presidency already set the high bar for me.

Hopefully we can do a reset on Trump's dumbass tariffs. They made networking gear more expensive. I doubt the prices would come down if the tariffs go back to what they were before, though.

I mean, things will probably get worse if control switches to Pence since he's more overtly evil than Trump is stupid evil.

But apart from that, things will probably remain the same for me until [hopefully] Biden wins the election.

Considering he's already attacked trans rights involving the military and put more right wing judges in the SC, I don't think anything is beyond him.

Trump remaining in office still wont change this.

Lots of stuff, depending on whether there's a dem senate or not.
I expect subsidies on green energy to increase once Trump is gone - been looking into that lately, would be nice to pay less.
Speaking of paying less, I'd like to see the economy shift out of its boom/bust cycle towards a more stable upward trend, which will happen more under a different president.
It's really hard to look at the future and say X specific person will die vs. X specific person won't die, but there have been a hell of a lot of preventable deaths under Trump and I have every reason to believe a different president would give myself and my loved ones a higher chance of being alive at the end of the next 4 years.
Preserving my wife's right to abort if I accidentally put a baby in her. Yeah it's not as simple as who's in office for this one, but clearly having someone else would be better than Trump here.
A more favorable tax code is likely to pass under a different president.
I am less likely to have to move due to rising temperatures under a different president (this one's more long-term, involving multiple presidents, but Trump is a link in the chain).
Won't have to wait in line at the polls as long due to sane voting practices.
Will be paying the same low subsidized price for mail that I enjoy today.

This was off the top of my head and I could have easily doubled it.

I dont follow him or the mainstream unless it's important news that I believe will effect me and or the country as a whole.

So pretty much anything involving a small time crime people are asking the president's opinion on, proud boys garbage or other such similar trash.

The question kinda doesn't work. Like, it will be nice to have all the white nationalists less fucking energized all the time, but Trump leaving doesn't change his policy, the new president does.

To that end, a lot of it is stuff that affects people I care about. Some proper insurance would be great, the elderly people in my life can be less wary of Covid, Covid in general will go away sooner (I really miss not having to wear a mask), hopefully we'll get some police reform, because it is a toll on the mind seeing racist police come out of the woodwork fucking constantly, you never know how that could bite you in the ass.

I am durable and robust. Everyone else? Not so much, and it's, you know, normal to care about innocent people, even if they're strangers. Just having other people breath easier would help me breath easier.

The right to not be discriminated against for being gay in the workplace is a good example. It was only implemented a few months ago (wtf) and now they can undo it because trump is adding a conservative crapper to the SC.

Four more years would mean four more years of conservative appointees deciding my rights aren't worth America's time.

Other than my (and other people's) rights I'm also worried about what he would do to the environment and wildlife. Trump simply doesn't care about that.

Not to mention further degradation of America's democratic process. Trump is trying to demolish our country's respect for the voting process because he thinks he should override our votes.

ALSO Trump's rhetoric has emboldened bigots not just in america but around the world.

It's largely his fault the virus has run so rampant in our country, he had so much opportunity to do better and stem the spread of the virus. His attitudes have encouraged anti-intellectualism. People think science is somehow a force for evil and trump is facilitating that attitude. And his attitudes have exacerbated the anti-gay, misogynistic, racist conflicts around the country.

Oh good--

two of the supreme court members (Clarence + Alito) just lashed out at Obergefell v. hodges (legalization of gay marriage)

Claiming it caused unfair discrimination toward christian religious liberty.

He warned that the court had chosen to "privilege" a "novel constitutional right over the religious liberty interests explicitly protected in the First Amendment, any by doing so undemocratically, the Court has created a problem that only it can fix."

so by allowing gay marriage, "the court has created a problem that only it can fix" hmm interesting that they're saying this now that a conservative is about to replace RBG.

You can tell what the SC is going to want to "fix" now that trump's election has given them the power to undo critical social progress.
