People swear up and down that Microsoft will put those games on PlayStation. I dont get it. Their reasoning is as simple as, Microsoft wont be jerks. Thats pretty much it. The odds of Elder Scrolls, Starfield, Fallout, etc being on PS5 is slim to none

I don't get why anybody would buy a Bethesda game on console in the first place. The modding community is pretty much the only thing keeping that entire company afloat.

In the end they want to get people to buy game pass. So they sell Xbox players on Game Pass and double dip with play station players paying full price. In effect people on the other console are paying for what's basically an ad for Game Pass. This great game you just dropped $70 for? You could have had it along with a shit ton of others day one for $15 a month. If that's the price, it would take over 4 months to match the price of one new game.
Keep in mind they don't even want game pass to be platform exclusive. In an ideal world, they would be selling it to play station players if they could make a deal with Sony. --- <insert sig here> ... Copied to Clipboard!

Microsoft doesnt need that money with PlayStation sales. They are trying to build up an ecosystem. They might lose out on money in the short term by not selling games on the PS5 but they win long term with more Gamepass subscriptions. They would make $47 per sale on PS5 of their games. A user that subscribed to Gamepass would make them WAY more money. That 1 Gamepass user is more valuable than multiple game purchases on PS5. Especially in the long run

The only way the big Bethesda games will come to PS5 is if Sony allows Game Pass on their platform. I'm sure this was a move to actually open up those talks and I really doubt Sony will allow it.

Bingo. This is all about getting Gamepass on PlayStation. Selling the games on there gets rid of all that leverage to put Gamepass on PS5. Also, Microsoft can really screw them. Imagine if Elder Scrolls 6 comes out and its not out on PS5. Microsoft can say that if Sony allows Gamepass on the PS5 then Sony users can play this game. Now its bad PR for Sony. The only reason they can deny that request is to be greedy --- Nothing until I think of a new Sig 6/3/20 ... Copied to Clipboard!
