In movies and shows breakfast is portrayed with a huge stack of pancakes. Is that really common for an American breakfast? Pancakes aren't that great for nourishing.

The only time I ever get pancakes is if I go to a breakfast restaurant. And I think the last time I did that was... May 2019 for Mothers Day?

Pancakes are a common breakfast food here, yes. I don't really eat them though.

I would only get pancakes sparingly.
I think it's not as common to eat it everyday. It's certainly something most people will eat plenty of in the US but I feel it's more like a breakfast you get to start off a good day. And someone might call you a champ while you stuff your greedy gob, you filthy... *cough* --- I just want to restore this world back to the natural. Bring order to this broken reality. I just have 2 pancakes and that's really filling. I don't know how people eat a whole stack of them. then again people say they eat entire pizza pies as well

I'm guessing because in movies it's a lot less wasteful/resourceful to make a stack of pancakes than it is to make a full breakfast with eggs, sausages, hash browns, etc.

No, I rarely eat them, maybe 1 or 2 times a year and never a stack just like 1 or 2 pancakes.
