After what happened to RBG, it looks like more progressives who initially refused to vote for Biden have changed their minds.

It's amazing how it took those so-called "progressives" of what happened to RBG for them to know that Trump is a threat & that this upcoming election is not something to be taken for granted. They can kiss my ass.

I'm a better progressive then most of them are, & I voted for Bernie back in the primary.

Progressives like to take a "both sides!" stance when they discuss moderate/ establishment Dems.

It's just childishness. Or, if you listen to the politics board, every Bernie or buster is an alt-right agitator trying to sway the electionin Trump's favor using the massive voting power the people on this site possess.

These people better stick to their guns and be critical of Biden day in and day out. I'm worried people are just going to celebrate avoiding the end and forget that America is still a dumpster fire in need of widespread systematic change. Trump needs to be seen as a consequence rather than an anomaly.

I'm going to need a lot more evidence than people freaking out on Twitter just because RBG died.

And unless those people live in actually contested states, their votes don't matter anyway.

It's a talking point Biden shouldn't away from.

I live in a deep red state and I actually feel motivated to vote because of this when I previously wasn't

Lol. What idiots those people are. If this issue scared them that much then they should have been voting for Biden in the first place. It was no secret that she was not going to last much longer. Even if she didn't pass away now, she would have certainly passed away by the time Trump's second term ends. So if he wins him replacing her would have been inevitable. How SHOCKED I am that progressives are so shortsighted.

I don't know, I'm not a washington politician, and democrats are very responsible for digging themselves into the hole they're in. But if I were a democratic congressman I'd pull every morally reprehensible political move I could to delay this for the next two months.

Holding up a third SCOTUS pick does hold up all the other court picks.

Holding a vote when 10 million people are out of work and need another $1200 looks very, very bad.

Joe Biden is a better candidate than Bernie Sanders - whether "progressives" realize it or not is not my problem. Pragmatic leftists like myself just want to win - we don't care about purity that much. It's about moving forward for us.

While I agree, voting for Gore, and Kerry did no good in stolen elections. Voting for Democrats in 2006 and 2008 saw no justice for the crimes of the Bush administration. I'll vote for Biden proudly in hopes that there will be justice.

So by all means never vote again and just don't care.

"Progressives": Shoot, my preferred candidate didn't get the nomination. What're my opinions?

Option A - candidate that you sort of agree with on the main issues and would prevent major rollbacks on things you like.
Option B - candidate you absolutely hate on the main issues and is actively trying to rollback things you like.

"Progressives": Fuck! This is a tough choice!

Progressives don't agree with Biden on their main issues. Everyone's main issues are different.

Biden is pro-choice, pro-union, pro-gay rights, pro-progressive taxation, pro-science, pro-expansion of Obamacare, and is considerably more conciliatory in the realm of international affairs, social justice reform, and the environment.

Now I'm not claiming to be a liberal, but he seems to pretty clearly represent a baseline minimum level of progressivism on a load of issues that should make him an obvious pick versus Trump for supposed progressives.
