If the Secret Episode to Kingdom Hearts III DLC was any indication, he's going to try to reboot his original vision for Versus XIII in the Kingdom Hearts universe. Hopefully Melody of Memory scratches his musical itch though. I'm not a big fan of music/rhythm games. I just started XV myself though. Still on chapter 1 and decided to watch the movie and Brotherhood before continuing with the main game. I've enjoyed what little I've played of it though. Not sure where your concerns about Final Fantasy being too bleak come from. The series has had increasingly more bleak entries since II. To be honest, I'm expecting either patch 5.5 or 6.3 of FFXIV to be a musical that regales us of everything going into and beyond the final (planned) conflict.
