All the eevees are outclassed due to their poor movepool. The only good one is Sylveon, because of it's typing.

Glaceon's other issue is being pure ice. Ice is just not a good pure typing.

Imagine putting the gen 4 Eeveelutions & Flareon above either of the gen 2 ones, awful.

Espeon is the best. Never gave much thought to the rest.

That too. Glaceon's decently bulky, but taking x2 from everything without resisting anything sucks.

Really, GameFreak should redo the Typing chart for Gen 9. Nerf Fairy, Buff Bug's offense and Ice's defense.

• Only resists Ice
• Has 4 weaknesses, most of which are common attacking types
• Instead of capitalizing on it being one of the best attacking types in the game, GameFreak thinks it needs to be full of slow tanks instead
• Hail is a terrible weather and it gives no secondary benefit unlike the other weathers. Slush Rush also has poor distribution

That's not completely True.

Blizzard becomes 100% accuracy in hail and halves the power of Solar Beam and Solar Blade.

There's also the fact that Moonlight, Synthesis, and Morning Sun heal 1/4th instead of 1/2th in hail too.

Thats still paltry compared to the other weathers. Ice should get a Defense boost just like Rock gets a Special Defense boost in sand, at the very least

Maybe it's just me, but I think grass is even worse.
* Unlike Ice that's a crappy def type it's at least a good atk type. But grass is neither.
* Is outclassed completely by water both offense and defence wise.
* Is weak against many of the best, most common pokemon in the game.
* Most of its duel typings are a net loss rather then a gain
* Doeasnt normally have the benefit of pokemon with really good good pools, stat distribution and abilitys to make up for it.

Umbreon - semi reliably recovery, good bulk, god attacking move in Foul Play.
Jolteon - fast, good special attack. but frail.
Leafeon - good defense , semi reliably recovery in synthesis, good attack and access to swords dance. but poor defensive typing and bad special defense.
Vaporeon - good support moves, wish and protect allow it to live a long time, good bulk. probably the best eveelution.
Glaceon - good special attack, but poor movepool, stealth rock weakness.
Flareon - good physical attack, but bad move pool and stealth rock weakness. at least ith as flare blitz now. commonly seen as the worst eveelution.
Espeon - good special attack, fast but poor typing and frail. its ability, magic bounce, is very good though.

grass may have 5 weaknesses but grass is actually an extremely solid defensive typing because it carries resists to ground, electric, and water, all of which are super common attacking types. some of the most notable walls have been grass type, such as ferrothorn or tangrowth

Jolteon > Vaporeon = Espeon > Leafeon > Glaceon = Umbreon > Flareon > Sylveon

Plus, being Grass type makes you immune to most Grass-type status effects, and Grass is full of status.

A lot of things resist Grass, but being a key weakness to Water and Ground (which walls Water's other weakness) is huge.

Yeah just looking at number of weaknesses makes Grass seem like a bad defensive type but it has a lot of key resistances that make up for it. Along with the non-type benefits of being able to eat powders and leech seed.

That combination gives them a lot of switch in opportunities.

True but ice type moves arent particularly uncommon for water types to have. So most grass types not Ferrothorn or tangrowth can still probabaly get wrecked. Doeasnt help that, correct me if I'm wrong but water types seem to be generally superior to most grass types overall.

It isn't uncommon, but ice moves on water types are more for holding grass types at bay or increasing their coverage against things like flying type or dragons.

Most water type Pokemon still don't want a shoot out with their non-STAB super effective ice beam against a STAB super effective grass attack. They lose more than they win there.
