Just bought the expasion pass and dropped right in. I understood it was supposed to take place like a thousand years ago, but apparently its modern day with the characters being children of the goddess so they're really old. How come Flayn is the only one of these people who don't age to maturity?

I missed some dialogue in the non-Jeralt narration cause the text moved too fast and I'm confuzzled. Right now Alois is being weird about the fucking archbishop reading a book to allow Rhea to put on her exposition cap.

Also I looked through the support log to see what the new characters are about. Whats with the lack of hot femByleth femlove additions? Yaoi lovers get Yuri (see what I did there?) but we get nothing? :(

How do I integrate whatever save file I get from this into my main game file? I just beat Silver Snow before this and saved the clear data. Haven't started a new playthrough from that file so I dunno.

Probably because female same sex options already had all the good stuff in the base game. Too bad its just another pretty boy and not a well needed bear.

Is every map in this campaign just an underground chamber?

Story is drivel and I wish they would stop saying "Abyss" without "the" in front of it. Abyss as a proper noun/name just sounds weird.

I'm really enjoying the stripped down gameplay, though. Feels like an attempt at a re-creation of the GBA FE style within the sphere of TH mechanics.

Is Constance's hair a different colour on the... backside? Hair has backsides?

You must be confused.

The Elibe games were real Fire Emblems and much more complex. Three Houses is the one with gameplay so stripped down the actual chapters are reduced to a minigame buried beneath the repetitive cutscene "activities".

Cindered Shadows is easily the toughest Fire Emblem DLC Ive tackled. Its difficulty is definitely on par with the main storys endgame

I tried to do it on max difficulty took like two days to beat the second mission then i hit the one with all the fucking golems and like 30 normal units and said fuck it this isnt fun, then redid it in pissbaby mode and archived the game cuz i already beat all 4.5 other routes

Chapter 2 did feel fairly high in difficulty as Three Houses maps go. Also having only 5 turnwheel uses feels very limited.

Hapi is consistently getting +2 stat ups and none of the two are ever in speed. This is deeply upsetting.

Also Ashe hasnt got a single strength up yet. Yay!

So I started the chapter 3 map about 20 - 30 min before I made that post and I just finished it.

Holy freaking balls that was a protracted battle. I really liked it. It was a whole other experience than anything else I've had in the game and probably more challenging than anything too, which is good as the game is way too easy on Hard mode. I might start to dislike it more if every single map of the side story going forward is this time consuming, though, >_>.

It was a teaching experience too. I played the main game four time and I've never considered gambits and monster effective combat arts as merticulously as I did here. Obviously that's because I didn't have to, but still. So much more tactical ability required. It's great.

Also, Constance's number of spellcasts on maps this huge is absurdly low, even with her Crest RNG.

A lot of careful gambits and knowing which enemies to prioritize.

Hapi's ability is a godsend. And never be afraid of letting Dimitri just brute force through some things.

Oh, if you are on the chapter I think you are on then Lindhart is gonna get some work in. Also using the Retaliation gambit on someone like Byleth and popping a pure water can make the bolting folks easier to handle on turn one.

That was... actually not that hard once I got rid of the bolters. Just took a while. Fucking devs trolling with those treasure chests though, wtf? Balthus facepunching Yuri is my favourite part of the story so far.

The way the story is going it's very weird Jeralt isn't involved in it. As I understand this takes place right after getting the Sword of the Creator or there about, so he should still be alive.

Also I got a dialogue option to say my mother died in childbirth, but at this time didn't Byleth think their mother died of illness somewhere outside the monastery?

On what I assume is the actual final now. I will probably have to restart this and make sure everyone is stocked up on concoctions. I really wish you could access your store house from the battle screen. I have like 48 mythrils I could sell for 400g a pop. I didn't know how long it was or if I was ever gonna need them for anything and now there's thousands of gil locked out from the final battle and I have like 1500. Could sell some pick up weapons and get more, obviously, but not that much more.

Edit: Nvm, it was actually quite easy to abuse his post-staggering blow weak phase and once I remembered that other units can use convoy when next to Byleth >_>

Yay, I beat the DLC... I think?
