House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday called her private visit to a San Francisco hair salon earlier this week, in which she received styling indoors despite city-wide restrictions on indoor styling, "clearly a setup," following criticism from President Donald Trump and Republicans. In a press conference in San Francisco on coronavirus legislation, Pelosi claimed she was misled by the neighborhood salon. Security footage showed her at one point wearing a mask around her neck instead of over her face. "I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I've been to, over the years, many times, and that when they said what we're able to accommodate people one person at a time, and that we can set up that time, I trusted that. As it turns out, that was the setup." Pelosi told reporters. "So, I take responsibility for falling for a setup. And that's all I'm going to say on that."

"I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up," she added later. Asked how she was set up, Pelosi bristled, asking reporters in turn, "Do you have any questions about how people are dying?"

It sounds like the owner had no idea because he rents out the chair to the individual. This person probably meant to do it under the table for a quick buck by using the salon even though they weren't supposed to, and it sounds like the owner is pissed because current rules prevent the salon from operating. So the guy can't work even if he wants to.

But on Tuesday night, the salon's owner told Fox News in a phone interview that the indoor, unmasked visit violated citywide COVID-19 restrictions prohibiting indoor services and blow-drying services at hair salons.

"It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can't work," Fox News said the the salon's owner Erica Kious, told them in a phone interview.

Kious said that Pelosi's stylist rents a chair in her salon but operates independently. It's unclear if the salon allowed other stylists to conduct private services during the shutdown.

So do you agree that indoor salons should be open for business? What do you mean by controlled environment, and why would it only apply to this one particular salon?

No. I think she is an idiot and i don't agree with what she did. I just don't think its fair for people like you to spend time defending these salons, and fighting against these mandates, but only attack Pelosi because she has a letter you don't like next to her name.

She wouldn't be attacked for going to a salon if she was onboard with salons being open from day one. Instead, the left continues to villainize anyone holding a position outside of complete lockdown.
