But if you religious you just visit another Church during Sunday and easily find a bunch of possible dates.

I don't think people who don't believe in god want a church goer. That would be a really shallow and rocky relationship. Unless they're trying to destroy God for them and then maybe it just doesn't work out and they leave them feeling more alone than ever with their former family not being as close as they once were >_>.

I dunno. That's just one scenario

I know, I was just pointing out one utility that religion has provided society.

This doesnt seem like a reasonable argument for or against anything.

Argument? It is simply an observation.

It seems to be the popular thing for people to complain about not knowing where to go to meet the opposite sex and online dating is stressful and doesn't work well.
If they were religious, they might not have that problem. Not saying they couldn't have that problem but that the avenue is always there.

Ah. I agree then. My cousin goes to meetings (no right now obviously) and him and his wife are doing really good, better than most I know. They're definitely not the conservative type many would imagine either. They be airing it out while Im there while not turning it into an actual fight lol. That's the type of shit I respect. I just stand there in my head like "uh-oh, is this gonna turn into something?". It never does

My bad. Forget everyone doesn't talk like me >_>. I mean they're open with their disagreements. They don't bottle it in until it explodes in one big fight

I guess you are saying they are politically left but rest of their church is rightwing and almost turns into a fight?

Or by conservative you meant behaviour wise like maybe what that Church expects from their lifestyle?

I just mean people usually attach the 2. The rest of their family and friends aren't either. They're mostly just not political

Nothing tc said contradicts that.

And yeah, as soon as I asked for Jesus one year ago, I found an amazing girlfriend and its the best relationship I've ever head in my 26 year life.

Religion actually has a hugely beneficial role to play in most peoples lives. I have become convinced that their is actually a need for religion for most people to lead a happy and healthy life. Now when I say religiom here I don't necessarily mean like Islam or anything. Just a formal system of beliefs that provide a deeper meaning to life beyond, eat, sleep, fuck, die. I think in the absence of traditional religions we are finding a lot of people struggle with a lack of purpose, fall into depression l, become hateful, or turn movements into their religion (like intersectionality).

There is a reason every single group of people seem to have come up with their own religion universally. It's like there is a human need for it. Once your brain gets too big, you have to start to rationalize why we exist somehow.

Are you suggesting activism like we see can be a religion replacement for many?
Say specifically those who never stop and move frok one movement to the other? Like the whole 99% thing to now what is going on.
