Do they still make you tip the pilots? I always forget to budget the tip into the cost of the flight.

This tired argument again...

Standing and grabbing your luggage is significantly faster than waiting for the seats in front of you. It's also nice to stretch your legs after a long flight. It hurts no one unless you do something stupid/asshole-ish.

they key word here is WAITING. If people in the aisle get up, grab their luggage, then give room for the others to get up and they all wait it can be faster. what happens though is everyone gets up and tries to squeeze past each other. its more efficient to just wait for your aisle all together.

Nope.
Ideally you'd want staggered deplaning (evens then odds), but realistically getting all the aisle seats, then inner seats, then window seats is a fairly efficient method. Waiting for the rows in front of you is inherently in efficient, you want people moving forwards as much as possible. From a pure speed perspective, selfish deboarding by pushing your way through slower passengers is going to be a better strategy than waiting for the people in front. In fact, getting off back to front to back to front has the advantage of rarely waiting for people to pull down luggage.
Of course speed isn't everything. You have families with children, groups that want to deplane together. But just waiting is never going to be an efficient strategy, just a polite one.
