I mean, their heart is in the right place. I think quotas will make it more difficult for people of color who get those positions. Also, placing Black, Latino, and Asian members on the board doesn't necessarily mean the company heads will listen to those members. They could be seen and not heard.

I'll never understand this methodology. If there's an issue of exclusion, figure out who and why. It's quite impossible that literally every board of directors is filled with gate-keeping racists. If there is a lack of interest, figure out how to bolster that interest. I also don't particularly understand including sexuality considering literally anyone could claim to be bisexual to get into this pool of people. I don't know if that would actually benefit someone, but a characteristic that's impossible to disprove really shouldn't be in the running.

There is nepotism of course, look at Joe Biden's kid in Ukraine. He was way underqualified and only had the job because he was Joe Biden's kid.

Most companies though pick people that are qualified no matter their physical traits because they would not want to gamble with the company and close the company.
