And kinda bump into that person every few years or so even though you dont share any relation through friends, work, nothing. And have never talked to each other, but acknowledge each other's existence through seconds long stares until one chickens out or probably feels creeped out. Ive had this for 15 years now. Even though Im married, Id just like to have a conversation with that person...is that too weird?

Limerence dude, I had this with a girl for like 7.5 years, only found out she had felt it too after I confessed, but she was already married by then. Honestly, after I told her, it went away immediately.

As creepy as that sounds i've had that somewhat situation. Years ago I had a gf for about a week. This other girl came into my life through college. I remember I was driving and she called me on my way to my gf and I turned the car around and went to her place. Many years later she left a filthy dent in my life with lies and her sleeziness. With my current, gf I would never do that ever again. Sometimes I want to run into her to test it out and rub it in because she's worse off now more than likely.

After reading what it means...it sounds a bit too extreme for how I feel. Mainly cause Im 32 now and there are no butterflies alive in my stomach that can feel giddy for anyone. Not romantic love...just curiosity for what it was. It was like the laws of attraction when you think of somebody and then you meet with them? Imagine wishing you could meet that person in a specific manner....just to happen 1 week later. And I did try talking to her back then...and it was a disaster. She kept staring into me like what are you waiting for, but I got too nervous and said the stupidest shit ever and she hid away between her friends and me feeling the biggest embarrassment of my life. Then you learn of this persons name through the graduations pamphlet and realizing she studied the very same thing you did and her name was actually right below your name...from the hundreds of people that graduated from the same thing. Its just a lot of coincidences like that throughout the years. I know it looks very weird and maybe creepy, but dammit, its not like Im chasing her or anything. There were years I went without thinking about it.

It just recently came back to mind since I had another encounter recently..and I saw them on OKcupid...and Im too chicken to send a message. Like how the fuck do you even begin that conversation?!?!

I don't think so. Had a crush on a girl my sophomore year of high school for about a year I think. Things didn't pan out too well between us. Probably my longest crush though.

i have had short term, long term and really intense relationships. I believe I have been quite infatuated in the past.

yet none come close to a crush I did not have a relationship with. The one that got away.

many years after the fact I still dream about her sometimes, just when I think I have forgotten about her, my subconscious reminds me I have not. Shes married now, BTW.

Only on fictional characters.

Like, any woman who played Catwoman can immediately get it. If she's now 60 years old and 400 lb, I'll cry. But I won't be able to say no because she's Catwoman.
