They see him going on about how women are gold digging whores, how men are tough guys you can't crack, and this half of his demographic literally think this is Bill celebrating these values. He's talking about how his overly masculine upbringing has led him to this point where he has destructive anger issues that affect his health, his family and even his simple joy of life. His father basically instilled in him this idea that you can't be "gay" in any way or you're not a real man. This is him at his saddest and funniest.
