I remember. they said "under God" I heard it. I actually wondered if they WOULD remove it, and I wouldn't have cared if they had. but they didn't. Our ruling: Partly false Instances where "under God" were excluded from the Pledge of Allegiance took place during individual council meetings, not during recitations of the pledge during the convention's program or as a matter of policy. There are no guidelines that forbid use of the phrase. It is misleading to state the DNC "omitted" or "took the word GOD" out. Imagine if all students were subjected to this during all of primary school. Imagine that removing the reference to religion in a country with a "separation of church and state" is a point of contention.
