That is a great reason why a buzzcut is such a terrible haircut tbh

If you are bald then yeah it makes sense to get a buzzcut or fully shave your head. So if you have your hair why would you get a haircut for bald men?

I clip my hair once every two weeks with a #2. Its fast, free, suits my look and doesnt go out of style.

How about I go YEARS between haircuts, and I can't be assed to style shit, so I just buzz it off and let the growth resume unabated

Buzzcut sucks, I like to spend my hard earned money on shampoo, conditioner, essential oils, styling gel and pomade. I also love to work on my hair for 30 minutes every morning to get that look that makes all the ladies wet. Imagine missing out on all of that and just waking up, taking a shower and going to work, life would suck.

I buzz mine off at least once a year. I have a combination of dandruff and psoriasis which just doesn't go away. So cutting it of to half an inch makes it easier to deal with. Not to mention I enjoy the feel of shorter hair during the summer.

Very little shampoo used which saves money

Fast drying

No bed head

Low to no maintenance

It has its advantages imo.

100% agreed TC. My wife and I refer to it as the "labrador retriever cut" haha.

Honestly, the only defense of it is "IDGAF about my hair looking nice, so this is the minimal amount of effort I can put."

During the summer I have to buzz mine. I'm an electrician so there's a lot of work outdoors and even worse in attics which can be dangerous to work in when it gets hot. It gets super hot and humid down here. Doesn't help that I got thick black hair too.

All I do is use this homemade spray (that I make like every 6 months) to style it, which takes all of 20 seconds in the morning, and wash it like twice a week, so that it doesn't need to be constantly redone. I probably only spend like, an extra 2 min a week more than dudes with the labrador retriever cut do.

How do you make the spray?

I shampoo and conditioner every 3 days, which adds a few minutes to my shower. A bottle of each will last me around 6 months. I dont blow dry and during the dryer months Ill put a few drops of beard oil in my hair. I already have the oil for my actual beard, and it still lasts months. Then I brush / comb for less than a minute and Im good to go.

Ive gotten a lot of compliments on my hair and it adds less than 10 minutes to my routine.

Part of that is genetics, no doubt, but it just shows that hair varies dramatically between people. No need to lump everyone into either extreme.

How do you make the spray?

I boil like a cup of water with 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup salt, 2 tbsp vodka, and 1 tsp aloe. I store it in a spray bottle.

Works great and it's basically free
