I mean you can get so many that it's almost impossible to lose unless Mario gets put to sleep. Really wish you weren't forced to recruit them (only one you choose not to is Watt IIRC).

The game is a cakewalk and imo pretty boring. It's a great beginner rpg for kids or die hard mario fans. The price this game is going for today is absolutely ridiculous... paper mario TTYD is much better and to me the only good paper mario game out.

Partners don't take damage in Paper Mario 64. Mario tanks all the hits. Hits to partners disables them for a number of turns.

I personally like the TOK. If they ever decide to go back to the old battle system (which was fine, but I wouldnt want to), then I would like some changes. Like maybe 2 (or 3, depending on certain things) partners in battle at once. And many some cool combo skills, depending on whos battling.

I liked the first two. Super was ok, but very different. And while I wasnt really impressed with Sticker Star and Color Splash, I very much enjoyed this game. Also, while I remember not being impressed with Sticker Star, I do remember the battle system was unique. And I like different battle systems...
